While we can sell just about anything, there’s no getting around the fact that some items are just trash. At Burns Auction & Appraisal, though, we won’t leave you with a bunch of junk after we complete your estate auction. Getting rid of whatever can’t be sold is as much a part of our process as the appraisal and auction.
We’ll do whatever we can to sell everything of value from an estate, and to get our clients top dollar for it. But even when that’s all done, our job isn’t – because the stress associated with estates doesn’t go away after all of the valuable contents do. We can haul away and dispose of a wide variety of detritus during an estate cleanout, including:
Scrap wood
Old paperwork
Dirty or stained furniture, bedding and clothing
File cabinets
Old-style televisions
Carpet remnants
Old tires
Household chemicals
Outdated magazines and newspapers
When the estate auction is over, we donate as much as we can to locate charities, including furniture, kitchen wares and clothing – and whatever else we think they will take in. We believe strongly in directing these items to charitable outlets instead of filling up landfills, and work hard to ensure as little waste as possible.
Our cleanouts are always conducted by members of the Burns Auction staff, and are never outsourced to junk companies. That means you can expect the same great level of service on cleanouts as you do for our auctions.
