Description
A group of several Longaberger Woodcrafts woven wood splint baskets featuring various shapes and utility designs. The collection includes a large square basket equipped with a fitted wooden lid with a red knob, double articulating wooden handles, a red and green plaid fabric liner, and a clear plastic divided interior tray. Also included is a long rectangular basket with a floral-patterned ruffled fabric liner and a divided plastic insert, a round basket featuring a decorative scalloped rim and a single leather loop handle, and a smaller rectangular basket with a fixed upright wooden handle and a neutral-toned fabric liner. The baskets are constructed using traditional splint-weaving techniques, with certain models incorporating decorative red and green dyed splints and X shaped cross-weave accents. One wooden component is stamped with the mark LONGABERGER WOODCRAFTS. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall condition. Visible signs of light wear are consistent with age and typical use. The woven wood splints appear intact without significant breaks. Fabric liners and plastic inserts show minor signs of use but remain functional and complete.
