Description
A wildlife painting by American artist Art LaMay, depicting a common loon in breeding plumage floating on a calm water surface among tall reeds. The work is executed in watercolor and gouache on paper, featuring precise detailing of the bird’s checkered back, striped neck, and iridescent green head. The artwork is professionally mounted with a double mat, consisting of a wide pale-gray outer border and a thin gold-toned inner border. It is housed in a wooden frame with a silvered metallic finish. The verso is sealed with brown backing paper and includes a hanging wire. The artist’s signature, Art LaMay, followed by a copyright symbol and a dash, is visible in brown ink in the lower right corner.

Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The artwork is in excellent condition, with no visible signs of foxing, toning, or fading. The matting is clean and free of debris. The frame is in very good condition with only minor shelf wear to the edges.
