Description
A collection of hand-woven maple baskets and coordinating WoodCrafts accessories by Longaberger. The assortment features a large rectangular basket identified by web consensus as the 1999 Traditions Collection Generosity Basket, complete with a plaid fabric liner and a form-fitted clear plastic protector. Also included are several smaller woven baskets in various configurations, including square and rectangular forms with fixed wooden handles or leather loop handles. The group is accompanied by an assortment of Longaberger WoodCrafts lids made from 100 percent hardwood maple. The lids appear in numerous shapes, including square with rounded corners, oval, round, heart-shaped, and semi-circular. Many of the lids feature turned wooden knobs finished in green, red, or natural tones. One round lid is decorated with a printed jack-o-lantern face, and another features a whitewashed finish. A manufacturer label is present on the underside of the whitewashed accessory, identifying it as a Longaberger WoodCrafts product with a 2002 copyright date and product number 30788. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The collection is in good overall condition with signs of light to moderate use. There is visible paint wear and scuffing on the colored wooden knobs of several lids. One large oval lid has a notable hairline split running across its width. The woven baskets show minor surface wear and natural variations in the wood stain but remain structurally sound. The fabric liner and plastic protector are intact.
