Description
A collection of approximately 48 die-cast toy vehicles housed in a vintage Hot Wheels 48 Car Carry Case. The case was manufactured by the Tara Toy Corporation of Hauppauge, NY, under license from Mattel, Inc. The exterior is constructed of blue vinyl with a yellow plastic handle and contains two internal blue plastic tiered sorting trays. The front of the case features the Hot Wheels flame logo, a red Mattel circle logo, and artwork of a blue #44 Hot Wheels Racing stock car. Markings on the case include Style No. 20010, a barcode, and the manufacturer address for Tara Toy Corporation. The item is marked with a copyright date of 1997 Mattel, Inc. The assortment of 1/64 scale vehicles includes a mix of die-cast metal and plastic components featuring both authentic vehicle models and Hot Wheels fantasy designs. Notable models include a white and red Toyota rally car, multiple Highway Patrol vehicles, a gold Radar tracked vehicle, a red Dodge Ram pickup with racing decals, and a yellow Duracell-branded racer. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The carry case shows signs of age and play wear, including surface soiling, scuffs, and wear to the vinyl corners. The internal plastic trays are intact. The vehicles are in varied, play-worn condition. Several vehicles exhibit significant paint chipping and loss, most notably the yellow Duracell car. Others appear to be in good condition with minor surface wear.
