Description
A pair of United States military issue Sun, Wind, and Dust Goggles (SWDG) manufactured by Stemaco Products, Inc. of Port Huron, Michigan. This pattern of eyewear was standard equipment for Army and Marine Corps personnel during the late 20th century, notably utilized from the late 1970s through the 1990s. The set consists of a flexible black rubber goggle frame fitted with an adjustable olive drab elastic head strap. The interior top edge of the frame is embossed with the words GOGGLES, SUN, WIND, DUST. The clear plastic lens is currently installed in the frame. The original olive drab cardboard issue box is included, featuring the National Stock Number 8465-01-004-2893, manufacturer information, and printed user instructions on the sides and top. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
