A pair of original World War II era United States Army field manuals, identified as FM 21-150, Basic Field Manual: Unarmed Defense for the American Soldier. Both publications are dated June 30, 1942, and were printed by the United States Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C. Each booklet is constructed with softcover tan paper wrappers.

The manuals serve as instructional guides for hand-to-hand combat, featuring numerous black and white halftone photographs of soldiers demonstrating various self-defense techniques, throws, and strikes. The interior title pages display the official War Office eagle seal and an original sale price of 50 cents. One manual features a black ink unit stamp on the front cover reading HQ 2784 INF REGT. A printing code, 463187-42-16, is visible at the bottom of page 237. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
