An assortment of non-fiction military history volumes primarily focused on World War II special operations, airborne divisions, and specific Pacific and European theater campaigns, along with the Korean War. The collection features a mix of hardcover editions with original dust jackets and several trade paperbacks. Notable authors and titles include Stephen E. Ambrose (Band of Brothers, S&S Classic Edition), Cornelius Ryan (The Longest Day), James Bradley (Flyboys), and Ed Ruggero (Combat Jump). The subject matter heavily emphasizes specialized units such as the OSS, Darby’s Rangers, the Jedburghs, and Merrill’s Marauders, as well as the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. Publishers represented in this collection include Simon and Schuster, Zenith Press, Da Capo Press, and Brassey’s. Most volumes are octavo in size. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
