Description
A collection of hardcover and trade paperback volumes primarily focused on military history, American Western history, and historical biography. The group includes several titles by notable authors such as Mark Bowden, featuring Hue 1968 and The Finish: The Killing of Osama bin Laden, and John Boessenecker, including Shotguns and Stagecoaches and Ride the Devil’s Herd. Other military history titles include The Thousand-Mile War by Brian Garfield, Semper Fi Vietnam by Edward F. Murphy, Inside Marine One by Colonel Ray L’Heureux, The Force by Saul David, Masters of Chaos by Linda Robinson, and The Black Devil Brigade by Joseph A. Springer.
The collection also contains Sam Houston and the Alamo Avengers by Brian Kilmeade, The Mighty Warrior Kings by Philip J. Potter, Whispers in the Tall Grass by Nick Brokhausen, and a larger illustrated hardcover edition of Crusades: The Illustrated History edited by Thomas F. Madden. A fiction title, The Black Echo by Michael Connelly, is also present. Publishers represented include Atlantic Monthly Press, St. Martin’s Press, Hanover Square Press, Presidio Press, Hachette, PublicAffairs, Sentinel, and Casemate. Most hardcover volumes retain their original pictorial dust jackets, while softcover editions are trade paperbacks with pictorial wrappers. The volumes are primarily octavo in size, with the Crusades volume being a larger quarto format. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
