Description
A collection of two United States Marine Corps (USMC) Dress Blue uniform sets, each consisting of a dress coat and trousers, configured for the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6). The first set is a Cold War era issue with a 1983 contract (DLA100-83-C-0286) manufactured by South Jersey Clothing Co. It is constructed from 100 percent wool gabardine in Blue MC Shade 2316. The coat features gold-tone USMC buttons, Eagle, Globe, and Anchor (EGA) collar insignia, and a single red-on-gold service stripe on the left sleeve. The interior label is marked size 38L and includes the handwritten initials RME. The matching sky-blue trousers feature the red non-commissioned officer blood stripe. The second set is a modern Global War on Terrorism era issue with a 2008 contract (SPM1C1-08-D-1104) manufactured by Crown Clothing Company for the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP). The coat is a polyester and wool blend (58 percent polyester, 42 percent wool) in Blue MC Shade 2312, size 42. The accompanying sky-blue trousers were manufactured by The Marine Shop, size 39 Regular, and include the red NCO stripe. Both coats feature three chevrons over one rocker with crossed rifles rank insignia. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
