Description
This French military paratrooper jacket is constructed in the lizard (lézard) camouflage pattern, featuring horizontal strokes of green and brown over a pale khaki background. The garment is made from a durable cotton herringbone twill (HBT) fabric and corresponds to the Troupes Aeroportees (TAP) 47/56 model, widely utilized during the Algerian War and other decolonization conflicts. The jacket design includes four large external bellows-style pockets with button-down flaps. The front closure consists of a heavy-duty metal zipper protected by a buttoned storm flap. Additional features include shoulder epaulettes, button-adjustable cuffs, and an internal waist drawstring channel. A white rectangular fabric tag is sewn into the interior neck, printed with the red digits 22, representing a French military size code for a medium-short fit. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
