Description
This is a US Army Green Class A service uniform set consisting of a dress coat and matching trousers, dating from the late Cold War era. The single-breasted coat features a four-button front with gold-tone metal buttons embossed with the US Army crest and four external pockets. The sleeves bear gold-on-green chevrons for the rank of Sergeant (E-5). The left shoulder features the unit patch for the Ohio Army National Guard, consisting of a red triangle with a white O and a blue field containing a white star. The right shoulder features the combat service patch for the 18th Military Police Brigade, a red shield depicting a yellow dragon and a white ladder. The lower right sleeve displays two gold overseas service bars, indicating twelve months of combat zone service.
Internal markings include a manufacturer’s care instruction label and a size/National Stock Number (NSN) tag. The NSN 8405-01-105-6893 identifies this as a standard Army Green service coat. The trousers are hand-marked with size 33-R on an internal white tag.
