Description

A pair of military service breeches attributed to United States Army patterns of the World War I era, specifically reflecting features of the Model 1912 or Model 1917 service breeches. The garment is constructed from a heavyweight khaki-colored cotton twill fabric. The front features a four-button fly with an additional metal hook-and-eye closure at the waistband. The pocket configuration consists of two deep slash-style front pockets, one small welted watch pocket on the upper right, and two welted pockets on the rear. The lower legs are designed with functional lace-up closures at the outer calves to provide a tapered fit, featuring metal eyelets and original fabric laces. The interior waistband and pocket bags are lined with a white cotton canvas material. Six metal buttons are positioned around the interior waistband for the attachment of suspenders. The exterior metal buttons exhibit markings that are present but not clearly legible. No other stamps, maker marks, or contract labels are visible on the garment.
