Description
An extensive grouping of US Army military and veteran clothing, primarily dating from the World War II era with some post-war components. The collection includes multiple khaki cotton summer service coats and shirts. Notable insignia include several China-Burma-India (CBI) theater patches featuring the white sun and star on a blue and red shield. One khaki coat features a Merrill’s Marauders scroll patch positioned above a CBI theater patch, identifying it with the 5307th Composite Unit Provisional. Other visible insignia include green-on-khaki rank chevrons for Sergeant, Technical Sergeant, and Private First Class, as well as a Technician grade patch. One khaki shirt displays a multi-ribbon bar representing medals such as the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign and Good Conduct medals. A post-service shirt features a large Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1089 patch. The grouping also includes several pairs of khaki service trousers and olive green (OG-107) cotton sateen fatigue trousers. Interior markings include size stamps (e.g., 15-32) and faded black laundry marks consisting of a letter followed by digits, representing the service member’s initial and serial number. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
