Description

This comprehensive collection features United States Navy (USN) enlisted men’s uniforms and personal gear, primarily dating from the World War II through the Vietnam War eras. The grouping includes blue wool dress uniforms, white cotton summer uniforms, and utility work attire. Notable garments include at least two blue wool “crackerjack” jumpers, one of which displays a Petty Officer Second Class (PO2) rating badge for a Boatswain’s Mate (BM), indicated by two red chevrons and a crossed anchors specialty mark. Complementing the jumpers is a pair of blue wool broadfall trousers featuring an interior waistband label marked Manufactured by Naval Clothing Factory and a white ink stencil identifying the original owner as Webster W.M. with a size of W-38.

The white cotton uniform components include multiple jumpers and trousers, some bearing the Seafarer brand label. One white jumper is fitted with a navy blue shoulder tab embroidered with U.S.S. Randolph in white lettering, referencing the Ticonderoga-class aircraft carrier CV-15. Shipboard work attire consists of light blue chambray shirts and dark blue denim trousers, with some pieces stenciled with the name Dickey and a partial name appearing as Ickenp.

Headgear in the lot includes a dark blue wool enlisted flat hat with a black ribbon bearing gold-toned U.S. Navy lettering, a leather sweatband, and a crown liner. A white cotton enlisted sailor hat, commonly known as a dixie cup, is also present. Additional equipment includes a blue denim sea or laundry bag with white rope drawstrings through metal grommets, two white cotton web belts with metal hardware, and a white canvas uniform component with grommets, likely a legging or spat.
