Description
A United States Navy (USN) Service Dress Blue (SDB) uniform jacket. The garment is a double-breasted dark navy blue wool gabardine coat featuring notched lapels and a six-button front, with three buttons intended for closure. The left sleeve displays an embroidered gold bullion rating badge for a Chief Petty Officer (E-7), featuring an eagle over a winged propeller specialty mark, identifying the wearer as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate (AD). The badge includes three chevrons and a single rocker. A non-standard silver-tone bullion five-pointed star is sewn to the left of the eagle on the rating badge. The lower left sleeve carries five diagonal gold bullion service stripes (hash marks), signifying a minimum of 20 years of military service. The gold color of the stripes and rating badge denotes that the individual achieved at least 12 years of continuous good conduct. The jacket is fitted with gold-toned metal buttons embossed with the US Navy eagle and anchor design. The interior is finished with a black synthetic lining and includes an internal breast pocket and one black plastic button. No manufacturer marks, contract numbers, or names are visible in the provided images. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos.
