Description

A United States Army M-1943 (M43) field parka, also known as a mountain or ski parka, dating from the World War II era. The garment is a pullover-style hooded smock made from olive drab (OD #7) cotton poplin or twill. It features a high neck closure with three large brown urea buttons and an integrated hood with a cord drawstring. Two prominent slanted map pockets with buttoned flaps are situated on the chest. The parka includes a drawstring at the bottom hem for adjustment, though the interior waist drawstring is absent. The sleeves are finished with adjustable button cuffs. A single blackened metal snap is present on the rear neck area for attaching a fur ruff. No manufacturer’s labels, size tags, or contract stamps are visible on the interior or exterior of the garment. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
