Description
This collection consists of multiple high-quality historical reproduction garments, specifically designed for 18th and 19th-century frontier reenactment or theatrical use. The lot includes a heavyweight hunting-style robe or overcoat constructed from an oatmeal-colored textured woven fabric, likely a linen or coarse cotton blend. This garment features wide, hand-knotted fringe trim along the collar, front opening, sleeve cuffs, and hem, with voluminous sleeves gathered at the cuff. Also included is a white long-sleeved tunic made of 100% natural cotton with a crinkled texture. It features a V-neckline with four metal grommets on each side and a white cord lace-up closure. A similar lace-up shirt is present in a tan color, paired with a lightweight greyish-tan open-front robe featuring intentionally frayed raw-edge detailing. The collection further includes a bright red bib-front or fireman-style shirt with a square chest panel secured by eight white buttons. Two waistcoats are present: one in a dark forest green wool-blend featuring silver-tone metal buttons, a standing collar, and two front flap pockets; the other in a brownish-grey fine vertical pinstripe fabric with a multi-button front, deep V-neck, and two welt pockets with flaps. Labels visible on the white tunic identify the material as 100% natural cotton and the size as XL. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
