Description
This pair of women’s military trouser liners was manufactured by the Glix-Brand Co., Inc. for the United States Army. Produced according to Specification P.Q.D. No. 387 and Pattern No. 1 (dated 7/14/43), this specific pair was contracted through the Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot and is dated October 10, 1944. The garment is constructed from heavyweight olive drab wool fabric designed for cold-weather layering. It features a tapered leg design terminating in ribbed knit wool ankle cuffs to facilitate wear inside boots or under outer field trousers. The waist includes a three-button fly closure with dark plastic buttons. A comprehensive white cloth manufacturer’s label is sewn into the interior waistband, and a separate small white tag indicates the size as 14R. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
