Description

A pair of Vietnam War era tigerstripe camouflage shorts, featuring a variant of the Tadpole Sparse pattern. These garments were typically produced in-country within South Vietnam for use by various U.S. and ARVN special operations units, including Special Forces and MACV-SOG. The shorts are constructed with side-tab waist adjusters featuring two-button positions, two front slash pockets, and a single rear patch pocket on the left side as worn. The front fly is equipped with a metal zipper. The zipper pull tab displays three stylized characters in a vertical orientation inside a rectangular frame, indicative of local Southeast Asian manufacturing. Fasteners include black plastic four-hole buttons. The interior waistband contains a faint green ink stamp with the top line reading PRDA and a second line that is illegible.
