Description
This is a World War II era US Army Women’s Army Corps (WAC) winter combat jacket, designed similarly to the armored crew tanker jacket. The garment is constructed from a heavy olive drab wool shell and features a matching olive green satin-weave lining. The front closure consists of five dark brown four-hole plastic buttons. The jacket is designed with two slanted slash handwarmer pockets and buttoned shoulder epaulettes. A stand-up collar and sleeve cuffs are finished with rib-knit wool trim. The back of the jacket shows vertical tailoring seams designed for a fitted silhouette. A white fabric tag is sewn into the interior neck lining marked with the text SIZE 10R. No manufacturer labels, contract numbers, or unit insignias are visible in the provided images. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
