Description
A collection of United States military equipment primarily dating from the Cold War era. Included are two pairs of extreme cold weather rubber vapor barrier boots, one in black and one in white, featuring built-in air valves for pressure equalization and stenciled user instructions. The interior lining of one black boot is marked with the name MASON in black ink. The lot contains two protective masks: an M17 series mask with its corresponding olive drab canvas carrier bag and a mask assembly with a corrugated rubber hose and a separate cylindrical filter canister. Transport items include a large olive drab flyer’s kit bag with heavy webbing handles and a standard top-loading duffel bag. Also present is a tan synthetic fiber-filled sleeping bag with an interior care label identifying the material as Fibrefill II. The collection is housed with a rectangular wooden transport crate stenciled for 75 cartridges of 40mm M781 practice ammunition. The crate features a metal latch, hinged lid, and various military markings including a National Stock Number and a lot number ending in 81. The lid bears a faded name and address from Newark, Ohio, and the side is hand-marked MASON. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
