Description
This assembly consists of an original World War I US Army M-1910 haversack and its matching detachable lower pack carrier. Both items are constructed from heavy olive drab canvas and feature integrated webbing straps and metal hardware. The front of the haversack and the exterior of the pack carrier are stenciled U.S. in black block lettering. The interior of the pack carrier is marked with two black ink stamps, one reading PERKINS CAMPBELL 10-18 and a second reading PERKINS CAMPBELL U.S.A. The haversack features a multi-flap design intended for the attachment of field gear such as a mess kit pouch or entrenching tool. The pack carrier is secured to the bottom of the haversack to accommodate a bedroll. Included with this set is an olive drab wool blanket, which is rolled and secured within the haversack and carrier. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
