Description
This collection of United States Marine Corps officer insignia includes various rank, branch, and specialty pins primarily associated with the World War II era. The assortment features multiple Eagle, Globe, and Anchor (EGA) pins in gold-toned, silver-toned, and blackened finishes. Rank insignia includes silver-toned captain bars, gold-toned major oak leaves, and single bars. Specialty pins include blackened metal ordnance bursting bombs and two gold-toned bugle-form pins with red enameled centers featuring the initials USMC, typically associated with the Marine Corps Band. The lot also contains US and MC block letter pins and a worn embroidered bullion crest patch. Several items are presented on an orange card backing with handwritten identification.
Bullion crest patch: 2 inches wide
Eagle, Globe, and Anchor pin: 1.125 inches wide
Bugle-form pin: 1.5 inches wide. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
