Description
This collection consists of various US Army branch and rank insignia, specifically designed as modern reproductions. The assortment includes Great Seal of the United States hat devices featuring both subdued black and aged brass-tone finishes. The lot also contains branch insignia for the 7th Cavalry Regiment, depicted as crossed sabers with the numeral 7 in the upper intersection, and Field Artillery crossed cannons, both in a subdued black finish. Additionally, there are Warrant Officer Eagle Rising insignia pins featuring an eagle with outspread wings above a shield and a scroll reading E PLURIBUS UNUM. The collection is rounded out by multiple US collar insignia pins in nickel-tone and subdued black finishes. Several pieces are marked on the reverse with the embossed characters REPRO RP, identifying them as modern replicas intended for reenactment or display. The construction utilizes base metals with painted or plated finishes and standard clutch-back fasteners. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
