Description
An Auto-Ordnance Corp. Type X drum magazine for the Thompson submachine gun, paired with a coordinating khaki canvas carrying pouch. The magazine is a modern civilian-market adaptation of the classic WWII-era design, specifically manufactured with a 10-round capacity to meet various regional magazine restrictions. The front face of the blued steel magazine is stamped with the following text: MAGAZINE TYPE X, THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN, 10 CARTRIDGES CAL. 45, and WIND TO 4 OR 6 CLICKS. It also features the Thompson script trademark logo with REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. The reverse mounting plate is stamped AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP. NEW YORK REGISTERED IN THE U.S. PATENT OFFICE. The magazine features a central winding key and a standard slotted mounting plate. The accompanying reproduction M1928-style pouch is constructed of heavy-duty khaki canvas with a rounded profile, a single Lift-the-Dot snap fastener, and a wide canvas belt loop on the reverse. The front flap is stenciled with U.S. in black ink. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos.
