This collection features an extensive assortment of collectible buttons from various periods, presented on multiple categorized display cards and worksheets. These items are buttons crafted from a wide range of materials, including glass, metal, ceramic, bone, mother-of-pearl, and various early plastics such as celluloid, bakelite, and vegetable ivory. The collection is systematically organized by theme, with labels including Squares on Round Buttons, Circle Pattern, Snowflake (and Winter), and Wallpaper Division III. One educational board titled Patterns provides descriptive text for various geometric and historical motifs, featuring buttons with fret variants, stellar and solar designs, and historical symbols including the swastika and the Star of David. Other displayed pieces include a treble clef symbol and intricate metallic filigree designs. The collection is cataloged with handwritten notes and classification codes, such as Section 17 – Patterns and Non-Pictorial Designs, indicating an advanced level of organization.

Board width approximately 9 to 11 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
