Spring Button Auction Day 2
Lot 2826:
Description
This collection of early vintage celluloid buttons is presented on several display cards and a classification sheet. These items are buttons manufactured primarily from celluloid during the early to mid-20th century. The collection showcases a diverse range of manufacturing techniques, including monochrome black and white designs, bubble buttons with internal air pockets, and glow bubble examples featuring pearlescent or iridescent finishes. Many buttons exhibit Art Deco and geometric motifs, while others are embellished with metal, glass, or paste elements. The collection is organized with printed labels such as Embellished Celluloid and Glow Bubble, along with handwritten notes detailing characteristics like paper back and extruded border.
