Description
An extensive collection of vintage and antique buttons presented on professional cataloging display cards. The assortment is organized by shape and material, including sections for Squares, Spindle (marquise and oval forms), Pentagon and 5 Sided, Laminated Celluloid, and Metalized Celluloid. The collection features a diverse range of materials such as soapstone, glass, wood, leather, phenolic, bone, cut steel, acrylic, and various metals. Notable decorative elements include damascene work, enameled finishes, and cut steel accents. Design motifs range from Art Deco geometric patterns and floral sprays to a clear faceted pentagon and a metalized grasshopper. The glass buttons include examples consistent with West German and Czech manufacturing traditions.
Display cards approximately 9 inches in width. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
