Description
An extensive collection of antique and vintage buttons, professionally organized and mounted on multiple descriptive display boards. These items are buttons that showcase a diverse range of materials and techniques, including woven wool Scottish tartans, embroidered and worked fabrics, complex beaded designs, and items made from horn, shell, agate, and porcelain. Several boards feature buttons made from celluloid and other early plastics, some with applied designs or molded into intricate shapes. The pieces are categorized on the boards with printed and handwritten labels that identify specific materials, styles, and studios or artists, such as Marie Bennett, Narcia Alexander, and Deb Schwing. The collection includes examples of worked fabric, bobbin lace, and various square-shaped phenolic and cinnabar-style pieces.
Display boards: 12 x 9 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
