Description
This collection of bird-themed buttons features a diverse array of avian subjects including peacocks, swans, eagles, owls, and roosters. The assortment encompasses various materials such as embossed brass, silver-tone and copper-tone metals, carved wood, mother-of-pearl with etched designs, horn, hand-painted enamel, and molded glass or resin. Construction techniques include Victorian-era picture buttons, stylized Art Nouveau forms, and mid-century modern designs. Specific pieces include a large two-tone carved horn bird, a silver-tone swan with gold-tone accents, and several buttons featuring inset faceted glass stones.
