Description
A collection of decorative buttons featuring butterfly motifs. The items are crafted from a diverse range of materials including iridescent and molded glass, painted porcelain, carved mother-of-pearl, plastic, bone, and various metals such as pewter and gold-tone alloys. Decorative techniques include figurative enamel work, filigree metal designs, and molded shapes. Several pieces are accompanied by handwritten notations on the mounting board identifying specific types or materials, including Battersea Pewter, Rock Crystal, Burwood, Bone, and Thread Bound Back. The buttons are presented on a cream-colored display board labeled Butterflies.
Mounting board measures approximately 9 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
