Description
This lot comprises two thematic collections of vintage and decorative buttons mounted on individual display boards labeled Owls and Screw Head. The Owls collection includes pieces in various materials such as pewter, brass, wood, enamel, and ceramic, featuring both figural owl shapes and circular designs with embossed or painted motifs. The Screw Head collection consists of buttons designed to mimic hardware, including slotted screw heads, hex bolts, and nuts, produced from materials like metallized plastic, metal, glass, and wood. Both boards feature descriptive handwritten notations identifying specific materials and origins, such as Made in France, Brass Cup, Black Glass, and Wood Button w/ Metal Rim. One notation indicates nylon buttons tested from a paper label marked Made in France. The variety of materials and designs confirms that these items are buttons showcasing styles from mid-century novelty to traditional relief-work, with some individual pieces still housed in original protective packaging.
9 x 12 inches per board Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
