One case contains specimens with handwritten labels identifying materials such as 18th and 19th-century fabric, silver, Bakelite, Victorian glass, casein, and steel from circa 1840. Decorative techniques include enameling, openwork, and faceting. Specific types noted include painted brass with cut steels, black glass luster, rubber, shell pinshank, faceted ruby glass, and silvered brass. The second case features examples with intricate beadwork, embroidery, and textile-covered designs, including a beaded heart and a circular white, red, and black beaded pattern.
