Description
This collection consists of an assortment of Czech antique and vintage black glass buttons organized across several specialized display cards. The buttons showcase a diverse range of manufacturing and decorative techniques, including lampwork, paperweight, incised, and fabric-imitation designs. Construction materials primarily feature black glass, with many examples incorporating secondary elements such as mother-of-pearl, metal inlays, and hand-painted accents. The items are categorized on cards with printed labels including Embellished Black Glass with Other Material, 95.2 Impressed Black Glass, Inlaid Older Black Glass, and Embossed/Cameo. The collection features various geometric and specialty shapes such as circular, square, triangular, and faceted forms. Several cards contain handwritten archival notes for specific pieces, including Lady in Bonnet, Open Work, and Swirlback B.G. with Metal Embedded Bracelet.
Display cards approximately 9 inches by 12 inches each. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
