Description
A collection of vintage postcards primarily featuring scenic and recreational views of Buckeye Lake, Ohio. The group includes various printing styles such as linen-textured, color lithograph, and black-and-white photographic cards. Subject matter includes the local yacht club, Lakeside Hotel, pleasure boats including the City of Newark and City of Columbus, swimmers in period attire, and scenic depictions of the lake flora such as water lilies. Many cards bear printed titles and several examples are postmarked with handwritten correspondence, including visible dates from 1922 and 1934. Some cards are identified as products of Curt Teich and Company or published by Geo. C. Lore. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
