Description
This collection of early 20th-century color and monochromatic lithographic postcards primarily depicts various scenes of Buckeye Lake, Ohio. The postcards illustrate period landmarks and leisure activities, including sailboats on the water, public boat landings, amusement areas, and park scenes. Notable locations pictured include the Lake Tourist Hotel, Summerland Beach, and views near Newark, Ohio. Many cards feature printed titles and descriptions on the obverse. The reverse of several cards includes handwritten correspondence, period postage stamps, and postal cancellations, with multiple postmarks dating to the early 1900s. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
