Description
A collection of mid-20th-century postcards primarily featuring scenic views and local landmarks of Buckeye Lake, Ohio. The group includes color linen-textured prints, lithographic prints, and black-and-white photographic cards. Subject matter includes notable area landmarks such as the Hotel Lake Breeze, Lipper’s Lodge, the National Trail Restaurant, various churches, and numerous attractions from the Buckeye Lake Park amusement center, including the Crystal Ballroom and roller coaster scenes. Several cards are postally used with handwritten messages, one-cent postage stamps, and postmarks dating from the late 1930s through the 1950s, while others remain unused. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
