Description
A collection of glass buttons mounted on two classification display boards. The first board, labeled Swirlback and Impression Inlay, contains specimens in various colors including red, blue, green, amber, and purple. These pieces exhibit decorative swirls, speckled patterns, and inlay techniques. The second board, dated 1840s, displays buttons in shades of green and dark glass, featuring floral, faceted, and round forms. Technical variations noted on the boards include Goldstone, Opaque, and Floral types. The buttons are constructed from molded and worked glass, with some examples featuring metallic inclusions and multi-color swirling.
Display boards approximately 12 inches by 9 inches each.
Ruler indicates a total width of approximately 18 inches for the two boards combined. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
