Description
An assortment of Victorian era buttons, primarily composed of celluloid and ivoroid materials. These items are buttons that exhibit various decorative motifs including scenic landscapes with castles and windmills, floral patterns, profile portraits, and cameo-style figures. The collection is organized on display cards with specific categorizations such as fabric background, pop ups, and rimless Victorian celluloid. Construction techniques include intricate metal filigree, multi-part assembly, and specimens with inset stones. Decorative elements also feature printed designs directly on celluloid and textured fabric backgrounds. Display cards approximately 9 by 12 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
