Description
An extensive collection of antique and vintage metal buttons, primarily designed as glove fasteners, presented on several organized display boards and cards. The assortment includes various styles such as pictorial, monogrammed, geometric, and novelty designs. Specific relief motifs include lions, sailing ships, and a profile of Queen Victoria. Materials consist primarily of brass, silver-tone metal, and copper, with additional examples featuring glass, enamel, and horn. Visible markings and labels include brand names such as Dent’s and French Castor, along with handwritten classifications such as English Make, Dimi, Lion Shield, Verbal Border, and Construction Note. Display boards: Approximately 12 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
