The second group, designated as Paste Borders, consists of buttons with central lithographic portraits, enameled designs, or polished stones, each encircled by a border of faceted clear paste stones. The third group is a set of gold-toned metal buttons commemorating the Civil War Centennial (1861–1961), produced by The Ball & Socket Mfg. Co. of Connecticut.
