Description
This collection of international decorative buttons is presented on a green display card. These items are buttons featuring a diverse range of materials and artistic styles from various countries. Notable examples include a Bimini glass button from England depicting a polo player, a blue and white jasperware button from the USA marked SR, and a carved Bethlehem Pearl mother-of-pearl button from Israel. Other pieces include a silver and turquoise button from Mexico, an ornate celluloid button from Japan, a hand-painted vegetable ivory button from Ecuador, and a snap-together leprechaun figure from Ireland. Materials represented in the group include enamel, various base and precious metals, bone, polymer, vegetable ivory, gourd, and ceramic. Each button is individually labeled with its respective country of origin and material composition.
