Description

A collection of mid-20th-century decorative buttons, identified as Division Three Junque buttons, presented on two original display boards. The buttons are primarily crafted from clear and colored polyester and resin, with many pieces featuring plastic mounting in metal or embedded elements. The assortment includes a variety of miniature objects encased within the resin, such as nautical anchors and seahorses, mechanical watch gears and screws, miniature keys, theater masks, fleur-de-lis, and various colorful beads, sequins, and glitter. Several buttons incorporate printed paper fragments with text including NAVY, STOP, and FEELING GOOD. The items are mounted and categorized on two boards; one is labeled JUNQUE and DECO with sub-categorizations including Transportation and Verbal, while the second is labeled JUNQUE 50S and SECTION 9-A. Handwritten notations on the boards include references to J.H.s book, pg 45 and color queries.
