Description
An assortment of antique and vintage decorative buttons, primarily crafted from metal and embellished with mother-of-pearl. These items are buttons featuring a variety of designs including intricate filigree, embossed floral motifs, and geometric patterns characteristic of the Victorian era and early 20th century. Materials include brass, steel, and white metal, utilized as frames or backings for iridescent shell or pearl centers. The collection is mounted on a light-colored display card labeled PEARL EMBELISHED OLD METAL, which includes handwritten notations such as STEEL CUPS BELOW and VERY HEAN SHANK. The construction includes various shank types and metal cup backings.
