Description
A collection of vintage assorted metal buttons, primarily constructed from pewter. The group features a variety of decorative motifs including embossed birds, floral patterns, a crescent moon with stars, and geometric arrangements. Several examples incorporate secondary materials such as brass borders, iridescent shell centers, and tinted finishes in red and purple. Notable techniques include bright-cut engraving, openwork, and chased details. One button is marked with the French registration backmark BM: DEPOSE. The collection is mounted on a white display card with handwritten descriptive labels for each item.
Display card: 8.5 x 11 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
