Description
Circa 1880s Massachusetts Civil War Soldiers’ Home Bazaar pin – badge for a bazaar held to benefit Civil War veterans housed at the Massachusetts Soldiers’ home in Chelsea. The badge’s suspension device features the Massachusetts state seal. The drop is affixed to a chain and features a Civil War soldier holding a rifle next to the motto, “FOR WHAT HE WAS AND ALL HE DARED REMEMBER HIM TODAY”. Overall measurement, including the chain, is 3.625″ x 1.625″. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
