Description
This 1866 edition of Memorial Address on the Life and Character of Abraham Lincoln was authored by George Bancroft and published by the Government Printing Office in Washington. The volume is bound in dark brown pebble-textured cloth with a gilt-stamped decorative central medallion on the front board and gilt-line borders. The interior features a frontispiece portrait of Abraham Lincoln in an ornate frame, engraved and printed at the Treasury Department, facing the title page. A tissue guard is present over the title page. The work contains the oration delivered before the Congress of America on February 12, 1866. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
