Description
This collection of mid-20th century military field equipment and textiles features a cream-colored U.S. Navy Medical Department wool blanket with blue stripes and script lettering, bearing a Genuine Esmond All Wool label. The group includes a two-piece aluminum mess kit marked M.A. CO. 1945 containing utensils stamped U.S. and several aluminum canteens, one with a canvas cover featuring U.S. stenciling and brass snap closures. Also present are a pair of tinted goggles with a brown leather carrying pouch, an embroidered service patch, and a group of dark leather protective caps with snap closures. The lot is completed by an assortment of silver-plated flatware with various markings including Waldorf-Astoria and Beech-Nut. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
