Description
A collection of United States military field equipment and personal gear constructed primarily of canvas and webbing. The assortment includes items from the US Army and US Marine Corps (USMC) representing several periods of 20th-century service.
The collection features:
– An M1910 collapsible canvas water bucket with a leather and metal reinforced rim. The exterior is stamped U.S., and the reverse side carries the manufacturer mark WARNER AUTO TOP 10-18 and a 1918 inspection stamp.
– An M1937 Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) magazine belt in olive drab shade 7 (OD7) canvas. The interior shows a partial manufacturer stamp including the word BLACK.
– Two M1936 musette field bags in khaki/OD3 canvas, equipped with shoulder straps and metal hardware for attachment to combat suspenders.
– An M1945 combat field pack cargo component in khaki canvas with attachment buckles.
– A USMC M1910/M1912 first aid pouch in green canvas with two lift-the-dot fasteners. The interior flap is stamped USMC PHILA. DEPOT TT&A 1915.
– An M1942 first aid pouch in OD7 canvas with a single snap fastener.
– An individual troop first aid field dressing in original paper packaging. Markings include Lily White Sales Co. Inc. and contract number DSA 2-9392.
– A large tan canvas duffel bag with a top flap hand-marked W. P. RIPKA.
Ruler shown indicates a partial length of approximately 18 inches for the BAR magazine belt. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
